In the Mojave desert, we stopped in on Joshua Tree National Park and I painted an abstractified, colorful version of the rocks. I wanted the colors to reflect the lighthearted playfulness that the Park made me feel. It just looked like a giant had been playing sandbox with the desert and left a bunch of piles of rock laying around the valley floor. It made me feel playful like a kid too, like I was running about a giant sandbox and jungle gym. It's by far, one of the funnest places to climb about.
